Having heard reports that the coastline between Danang and Hue was spectacular seen from the train we decided to go that way - even though it cost twice as much as the bus! And I'm glad we did - it was a great section to experience the Vietnamese trains!

I also saw a lot of dragonflies buzzing around when the train stopped - there is only one north south line in Vietnam and the express fast trains get priority on it - so the slow local trains have to pull over and let us past - makes the journey a bit longer, but we were comfortable with our soft seats and air con!
