Meknes - Medina & Mosque

Day one of my Morocco tour and we headed to Meknes - an old walled town with the largest gates in North Africa, lots of opportunity to shop (I held back for now!) and some impressive old features from the reign of Moulay Ismail including a water reservoir and a stable for 1200 horses!

Oh and I shouldn't forget the mosque that served as the King's tomb after his death - with beautiful decoration and mosaic tiling.
